How Do You Show Affection Towards Your Spouse? Is This Hard For You To Do?
Men, I'm going to be honest here...I absolutely love my wife. But at times, I tend to forget that my wife desires affection from me that makes her feel wanted. Let me be go a bit further, maybe you gentlemen can relate, out of Dr. Gary Chapman's 5 Love Languages, my Love Language is "Acts of Service", my wife's Love Language is "Words of Affirmation.
Now here is MY dilemma, as stated in one of my post titled "Shot By My Own Arrow", I didn't grow up in a Share-Your-Feelings kind of home. We said I love you, we knew it, now let's move on. It was more of a "let me show you that appreciate you by my actions and let that be enough". I didn't know how....I shouldn't say I didn't know....It was out of my comfort-zone to verbally share my feelings, or communicate encouragement or affirm my spouse. But of course the Lord saw fit that my wife would be the very person that desires my very weakness; Using words to express love!
So men, How do you show affection to your spouse? Do you have separate Love Languages making it difficult to show affection? How do you deal with this issue? or am I the only messed up husband here? What are your Thoughts?

I like what you said...we are displaying the Love of Christ if anything. I'll give you hug haha
“Messed up husband?” Isn’t that like saying “wet water?” I don’t know much, but I do know this; my wife likes to hear from me how beautiful she is and how pretty she looks. She also needs to be held and caressed. But for me, I think she needs to feel the comfort of having a strong leader in hr life. (That probably means more to me than her, but that’s just the “messed up husband” coming out in me.) However, as we get older I really think what gives her the most affectionate feelings from me is that of companionship. To me, that means paying attention. Listening. Holding hands. Displaying the love of Christ through my actions. Now, as…
